As I’m sure you all know by now I love my smoothies and you can’t go past a delicious and nutritious smoothie bowl post-workout.
If you are not a fan of kale you can substitute this for spinach (I LOVE Kale though!) You can be as inventive as you like with your ingredients or toppings and if you are ‘on the go’ just pop this smoothie into a mason jar (without the toppings) and go!
You will need:
1 x frozen banana
1 cup of kale
½ cup frozen blueberries
½ a green apple
1 tsp spirulina
1 cup of filtered water
For the toppings:
½ a kiwi, balled
¼ green apple
- Place all of your ingredients (minus the toppings) into a high speed blender.
- Check the consistency, add more ice if you want thicker or more water if you want thinner.
- Pour into a bowl.
- Arrange your toppings and make the smoothie bowl look too pretty to eat!
- Feel free to add different toppings such as fresh fruit and nuts
